Renaissance Stained Glass
Stained Glass > Gallery > Contemporary (1960 – Current)

Contemporary in Stained Glass terms has a lot to do with glass choice. As has occurred throughout history each artistic movement influences the next, even if that influence is simply to inspire an aversive reaction. For this reason many pieces created today will resemble designs from other periods. It is the attention to detail in the specific shapes and glasses used that makes all the difference.

Bevels are generally a feature of contemporary design. The bevel cluster shown is 760mm x 450mm and would cost $790. Very specific shapes and styles of bevels can be found in other genres or periods but due to developments in manufacturing techniques have become more available in the latter part of the twentieth century.

The “Morrochrome” design 660mm x 380mm costs $1600.
